ROOF TOP JAZZ

Romance at the Golden Pineapple

 (PLEASE CLICK)
The picture you see may not be from the video)

 Hi Everyone

There have been so many things getting in the way of this post. However,  I learned how to use my new phone to post by phone for the first time since I started this  blog 14 years ago.
Here are a couple in-progress pics and a video of the  Roof Top jazz room of the Golden Pineapple Restaurant.

The white plastic thing was an air freshener pulled apart. It's going to be an outdoor heater to make the chilling nights nice and cozy with the help of red fairy lights inside the top and flowers in the bottom.. Which way do you think is better number 1 or 2?

12

The piano and other instruments will sit atop a low stage. Other little details are all prepared to make for a truly Jazzy experience.

The night scene is from the internet printed on 17x11 inch photo paper. After lots of tries, I like the way it came out.  Still, I plan on enhancing it to give a real night glow.

Keep your eyes out for the continuing work in progress!

Update! MYSTERY SOLVED!

Well, the Mystery doll is not a mystery any more! Barb the Evil Genius has found and shared not only her name, but her whole history (just when I was going to have a name the mystery doll contest! lol) Guess that makes Barb not so evil after all! Just a genius. :-) She really knows her dolls! I was so excited I started researching everything I could find about her right away!

Ladies and Gents You have met Rose of the Magic Attic Club dolls series!

I knew it was her when I saw the hands. I found many who looked like her, but none had her hands. She feels like vinyl to me, but after more research I realized she has to be porcelain. Could that explain her changes?  She once sold for $150.  (She sure didn't look worth that when she was unearthed!)   One reason I know she is porcelain is because she is only 16 inches tall. I could not figure out why she was so much shorter than the description.  Only the porcelain dolls were that height. The other reason is, she has no navel so that makes her from the older line. Rose even has books about her adventures!

She was changed from Native American (Cheyenne) to Hispanic. Her original  makers made primarily Native American dolls. Her name was first Cheyenne Rose then Rosa. I still call her Rose, her original name, in the early books. Here she is in her original box.

Learn all about her background and that of her many manufacturers over the years. She even has connections to Robert Tonner and Marie Osmond. Read about it here

Although, I thoroughly enjoyed designing and sewing her first outfit and was ready to sew more, I did buy a pattern for four outfits once I found out who she was. Oops, Just realized that would be the 18" version. Oh well, I guess I will have to use my alteration skills to adjust them.

Thank you so much Barb for finding out my little girl's heritage and sharing it with all of us! ~hugs!

p.s. There is also a Magic Attic Club Yahoo group which I have already joined. Don't be surprised if you see some of her MAC friends here in the future!

Peace,
The Grandmommy

Doll Mystery Continued... WARNING!! Not For The Faint Of Heart!

So sorry I have not been sharing my mini stuff with you lately. So much has been going on in the RL...nothing bad thank God! Still I have been doing a little mini-ing here and there and planned to do a good post next week and then this happened today!

Some of you may remember this doll that was found buried in my backyard. The last month has been extremely busy for me so I didn’t bother with her anymore. I2 Create’s and Georgia Girl’s remarks made me think maybe I should clean her up, dress her, maybe give her a little hair, lots of love and see what she looked like. In the meantime she has been on the ground where she was rained on (thought it would help clean her), and had plenty of sun.

Last night I happened to run across a wig that looked like it would fit her so I thought I would give her some attention and fix her up today. This is how she looked this morning. Her eyes are completely changed and her face looks very different. Doesn’t her mouth look way less pouty? Do you think the elements, first being buried in dirt then the weather changed her looks?

Yep, she is the same doll!

Exactly what do you think is going on here?
Could someone be playing a joke on me?

By the way, I am a believer of the Lord Jesus Christ and I fear no evil which is why I have not gotten spooked by her. No weapon formed against me can prosper.(Isa 54:17) However, I do think this is extremely odd.

Yet, I still feel I should not throw her in the garbage and I don’t want to thrift her for someone else to buy her not knowing this strangeness about her.

How did her lips become so red?

FEBRUARY CELEBRATIONS

HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!
Yes, this is a potato chip, Cool huh?
(I ate it! LOL)

Black History Minis!
Some of you may remember some of these pictures from two years ago on Vansdolltreasures. I  am still as enchanted with these real life minis as much as I was when I shared them with her. I didn't post them on my blog then, so I will do it this year in honor of Black History Month. There were even more this year. It was so hard to pick! These are the ones I decided on.

See how many you can identify before looking at the names. If you don't know the people they are portraying...why not google them!

Next month, I will do the same for Women's History month. Please stop by and support Eunique Jones at Eunique's Photography for more cuteness! I am trying to decide which product I will purchase.

Wouldn't these be cute in mini scale dolls?

Especially check out, the lead-in video of girls reciting Maya Angelou!! SO CUTE!

My Kind of Town II!

This is how I felt during and after leaving
                          Chicago!

This is just one of the three rooms and a long hall area lined with goodies at the Tom Bishop Show! Can you tell how far back it goes?
There were three filled smaller rooms at the Linda Frye Show at another location
Look for the creators of this house at: TheLittle Dollhouse Company

This house was huge!

This is just to show the extensive electrical set up

What is so cool is all of his electrical parts are in the wooden compartment at the bottom. Those are real bricks!

The general store on the left was sold when I saw it. If I told you how much it went for I would have to use smelling salts to re-awaken you! lol

That is not the creator. Seems someone was always engaging him and
I never got a picture of him. These two are by the same artist. Make sure you read the sign in the lower right for contributors

These sweet babies were created by Helga Sadowski of Germany
www.miniaturen-sadowski.de
ADORABLE!
Yes, her finger is in there. HAHA!

Anybody recognize  Karen?
http://www.dollshouse.tv/programmes_searched.asp?skill=0&product=&presenter=55&searchbox=&Submit=Go? Click here to find out who she is!
Here are some of the things I purchased.  I was anxious to use some things so they are not here. I will have to tell about those in part III
Those are pillows on the left! Can you see the tiaras?

Heidi Ott shoes that actually fit my girls! Boots for my guys. Heidi Ott's son was actually the one selling them!

Unrolls to beautiful hair.
I bought several more colors, but playing with them with my girls.

UPDATE!
If you look closely you can see the beak on the right.
This is where we are now! When my grands told me about it they said one egg, when I ran out and took pictures there were two eggs...now how...? It was so cute. It stretched open its mouth when I came. I guess it thought I was its mommy. I tried to get him to do it again for the camera, but I guess he was either tired or disappointed. lol There are two red colored birds that are always in that tree and squawk then fly away when I come. Are they the parents of one or all of these!  Hmmm

While I was outside taking pictures of my goodies...this guy showed up!
